Our Worthy Matron, Shirley Eckley has chosen KINDNESS as her theme this year.  Following this path every meeting Opal Chapter #181 will be collecting money for 3 different charities which are SERVICE DOGS, KNIGHT TEMPLER EYE FOUNDATION, AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE.  We are also planning our community annual SPAGHETTI DINNER we do both for fellowship and fundraising. OPAL FOR OCTOBER Opal Chapter #181 is pleased to announce 2 new members:  Ghislaine Martin and Leea Coryea.  Eunice Zimmit and Carla Kahler received their 60-year pins.  We have resumed  having dinner at 6:30 pm before the meeting. SEPTEMBER NEWS A summer rainstorm didn’t put a damper on the enjoyment of our ANNUAL OPAL PICNIC  at the CORTLAND CONSERVATION CLUB on August 12th.  We enjoyed Diana Martin’s provocative guessing games enhanced with her patriotic decorating theme.
