The Highlight of Tuesday, April 2 when Opal Chapter Officers and a pleasing number of sideliners gathered at their stated meeting to present membership pins to 5 members. Two 50-year pins were presented. Judy Richards presented Charlotte Jessep’s pin and Rachel Ann Tupper presented Carol Kohlmorgan’s. Carla Kahler presented a 40-year pin to Karen Combs. Two twenty-five-year pins were also given. Judy Richards presented a pin to her daughter, Jan Jaycox and Sarah Paxson presented a pin to Linda Mahan. All presenters and recipients gave reminisces and entertaining comments.
Deputy Grand Matron Janet Doolittle presented the SHINING STAR AWARD to member, Roxanne York for her constant dedication to helping those in need, active in her church plus many organizations including Rainbow Girls, always taking part in special events, and much more. CONGRATULATIONS, Roxanne!
A thoughtful and enjoyable evening. Worthy Matron, Shirley Eckley announced that we will enjoy a potluck dinner at 6:30 pm before our May 10th meeting. Looking forward to seeing you at Chapter.
