IT’S FEBRUARY –It’s the month with the non-pronounced R.  It’s Leap Month this year.  It’s Black History Month, American Heart Month, National Children’s Dental Health Month, Friendship Month, and Library Lovers Month among others
There’s LOTS of things happening so mark your calendars.
Feb 1 – District Meeting at Billow
Feb 2 – Groundhog Day (hopefully ours won’t repeat)
Feb 3 – Morning Light Stated Meeting
Feb 12 – Lincoln’s Birthday
Feb 13 – Sweetheart Dinner at Café 422
Feb 14 – Valentine’s Day
Feb 17 – Presidents Day Federal Holiday
Feb 22 – Washington’s Birthday
Feb 28 – Past Matrons Past Patrons Dinner at Perkins.
Feb 29 – Leap Day
If you’re going to the Sweetheart Dinner, please let me know at the meeting.  We need to confirm number of attendees.

Our Inspection is coming up in May.  All officers are encouraged to learn their parts.  Our District Deputy has said she would like to see NO books out during Inspection.  And, since we are being inspected by the Worthy Grand Matron, it would be a nice showing for Morning Light to do so.  I have mine down, but I can’t speak for the Worthy Patron. [laughing]

Remember our 12 Can Challenge for the Warren Family Mission.  Our last day for collection will be at our March Stated Meeting.  Delivery will be made later that week.

We also are collecting for the Legacy Dog Rescue program.

Braids for Bill is also still ongoing to support our Associate Grand Patron for his year next year.

For those who did not attend the TNT play “Deep in the Heart of Tuna”, you missed a VERY funny play.  I heard comments from attendees afterwards that it was the funniest play they’d seen.  May’s play will be  “The Merry Wives of Windsor”, another comedy, this by William Shakespeare, first published in 1602.  These plays support the AOC and GO Committee and are an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon or evening.  And the cost is very reasonable.

Morning Light will be hosting a St. Patrick’s Tea on March 15th.  The proceeds will go to support our AGP Bill Murphy.  More info to come.  Please plan to attend.  Our gentlemen will be serving US!!
