Greetings Masonic Family and Friends!
Did you know that from June 1 – December 31 there are many patriotic themed days or National Days of Recognition? You didn’t?! Then, read on! Flag Day (June 14), Independence Day (July4th), Patriot Day (September 11), Constitution Day (September 17), Columbus Day (October 14),Veterans Day (November 11), Pearl Harbor Day (December 7), and Bill of Rights Day (December15). Need we say more?  It only stands to reason that the lovely ladies of Bethel #49 exercise a patriotic themed term for the next six months.  Here are the details:

Theme: Patriotic
Motto: “Home of the free, because of the brave.”
Colors: Red, white, and blue
Flower: Red carnation
Emblem: American flag
Mascot: America’s heroes
Service Project: Disabled American Veterans
Bible Verse: “For you have been called to live in freedom…use your freedom to serve one another in love.” – Galatians 5:13

And we aren’t stopping there!  Other service projects we have in mind this term besides donating money to disabled American vets include supporting the Marine Toys for Tots program and putting together care packages to send overseas to American troops.  If you have any suggestions for patriotic-themed service projects this term, please let one of our members know about it!  It’s because of the brave men and women who sacrificed so much, so that we could have a better life and a country to call home that we have the freedoms we have today.

We must forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.  A great deal of thanks goes out to them and their service in wartime and in peace.  (And, if this includes members of our Masonic Family….with our hearts filled with gratitude and our eyes filled with tears……thank you for your service.)

Now, with that being said, our ladies are going to have an action-packed summer!  Please stop and see our Warren Job’s Daughters at the Trumbull County Fair underneath the Grandstands (across from the Ali Baba Grotto food stand) from July 9th – 14th and bring a few dollars as we will be selling items to help raise money for our Bethel!  Don’t have a few dollars?  Not a problem!  Please stop by anyway to just say hello!  We’d love to see you!

For those of you not familiar with Job’s Daughters, we are a positive faith-based organization for girls between the ages of 10 and 20 that provides leadership, builds self-confidence, and allows girls to make lifelong friendships.  We welcome all Masons and members of any Masonic affiliated groups to attend our meetings!  We also have a Jobie-2-Be program for any girl age 7 to 9 or any other age that is interested in learning more about Job’s Daughters.  For a full list of what we do each month, please check out our Bethel calendar located on the second-floor bulletin board of the Warren Masonic Temple or our FaceBook page or just contact our Bethel Guardian, Angela Maselli, for more information or a petition!  We hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,
Daughters and Adults of Bethel #49
