Old Erie held it’s 2nd April stated meeting on April 18th. Prior to (and after the meeting) we had a dinner that consisted of Pasta w/ meatballs, Garlic rolls, a Garden salad, and of course, dessert.

The meeting was mainly a discussion on the preparations for our Open House on Saturday the 22nd, but we managed to sneak in some other business as well…

Firstly, one of our Fellow Crafts returned his FC exam and was found proficient. Secondly, the Lodge voted to accept the plural membership of WB James Parker IV. It was very enjoyable to be the first to shake the hand of one of Ohio’s Past Illustrious Masters and welcome him to Old Erie as a brother.

I of course called for a special meeting for our Past Masters Night which is Tuesday April 25th. We will be having our annual Seafood Fry at 6pm, and will then be doing the Master Mason degree on one of our Fellow Crafts at 7pm.

I also announced that we will be doing Master Mason degrees on our off Tuesdays in May and June, as it is my wish that all four of our current Fellow Crafts get their Master Mason degrees before we go on sabbatical at the end of June.

We also have our Annual Steak Fry coming up on May 30th. Please see any officer in regards to getting tickets. Our Annual Picnic will be on June 25th, and our first Annual Table lodge will be on October 24th.

We had a nice Lodge Education program on the Biography of St John the Baptist by WB Eugene Miligi. And once the meeting was adjourned, we enjoyed some more fellowship in Burton Hall.

I hope everyone had a good Easter, and I hope to see you at any of our upcoming specials, or our stated meetings even!

Until we meet again,
Christopher Kiraly
Worshipful Master
