Greeting Sir Knights!
Thank you to all the Sir Knights that came out for our Stated Conclave, Easter Observance, and Inspection in April!  Special thanks to Sir Knight Kenneth J. Ayers for sharing his Easter message with us.  It was a very enjoyable service.  I appreciate you pulling this together.  Our Inspecting Officer was our Right Eminent Grand Commander, Sir Knight R. Thomas Starr.  It was certainly a pleasure to have him visit with us along with two of his Grand Aides and a couple of Grand officers that attended.

I am also very pleased to share that our Grand Commander has moved us to Phase 2 of the Reopening Plan which allows us to return to regular in-person meetings as long as we follow the required protocols (masks, etc…).  This also means we can return to having refreshments!  Thank you in advance to the Ladies of Warren Assembly No. 77, S.O.O.B.!  Your support is always much appreciated, and I am excited to see the return of us being able to socialize and fellowship together.

It is amazing to me how fast the past year has gone.  It is hard to believe it is May already.  Please see the following important dates for the coming month:

Friday, May 14th at 7:30 PM is our stated meeting which is traditionally our annual Move-Up Night. This will be an important meeting for our Commandery and will be our election of officers.

Saturday, May 15th at 9:00 AM is our Division CTA meeting hosted by Warren Commandery at the Masonic Temple in Warren.  As is tradition, the Sir Knights will be serving the Ladies breakfast at 9:00 AM followed by the CTA Planning Meeting.  This is the meeting where the dates around the Division (including Commandery Inspection Dates) will be selected for next year.  All Northeastern Division Knights Templar are encouraged to attend.

Sunday, May 16th at 10:00 AM is the Northeastern Division Ascension Day Service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church located at 29 Spruce St in Leetonia.  We are required to have representation from our Commandery at this observance, so I am asking that everyone consider attending if you are available.  Dress for the observance is full Knight Templar uniform minus sword.

Saturday, May 22nd is the 19th District Grand High Priest Reception and Grand King Rollout which will take place at A La Cart Catering.  The District Association Meeting will start at 5:00 PM, followed by the Grand King Rollout, Dinner, and comments from our Grand High Priest.  Cost is only $25.  Please contact Zel Bush for reservations.

Sir Knights, while we are all very busy keeping up with our daily lives, please take some time to check in on those we care about.  While they may not say it, you may be surprised how much a short phone call will mean to a family member, friend or Sir Knight who has not seen you in a while, especially if that call is just to say “how have you been” or to let them know you are thinking of them.

I look forward to seeing you at Commandery!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
George Edmiston, EC
