Greetings Companions,
October is quickly coming to a close and I wanted to give a quick update to the happenings with Mahoning Chapter and around the 19th District.

Grand Chapter was held October 5th & 6th. MEC Ronald C. Hart, Sr. was elected and installed as Grand High Priest.  Zel Bush was elected and installed as Grand Royal Arch Captain.  We congratulate him, and all of the Grand Officers, on their honors and wish them well.

We held our Stated Meeting October 12th, and everything went well.  Announcements of note include District Re-Affirmation Day is Sunday October 30 at Salem Chapter at 3:00.  I will be there, and I hope to see many Mahoning Companions there, also.  Please RSVP with Companion Sean O’Neil (sea_One@msn.com) or myself.  On November 7th Youngstown Chapter will be honoring Companion Nick Yurchyk for 70-years in York Rite Masonry.  Dinner is planned so please RSVP with Companion Gary Shane (glshane@outlook.com) or myself.  Youngstown Chapter Inspection in PM will be November 19th at 9:00 AM. This is a change from what is printed in the Tri-Fold.

The Warren York Rite Bodies’ Christmas Party will be December 3rd at Burton Hall beginning at 5:00 PM.  This is open to ALL Masons and their Ladies.  Please remember to bring a white elephant gift for the gift exchange (suggested $25.00).  While we’re reviewing December events, there will be a fund-raising brunch for Right Excellent Companion Robert Nilson on Saturday, December 10th from 10:00 AM – Noon at Twinsburg Masonic Temple.  Cost is $10 per person. This is to celebrate REC Nilson’s election as Grand Captain of the Host.  Please RSVP with PHP David Wilkie, Summit Baker Chapter #74: davidw@yahoo.com or contact me and I can forward the flyer to you.

If you have not paid your 2023 dues, please remit ASAP to Recorder Brian Williams  Also, please forward any names of Companions that have gone to the Celestial Chapter over the past year, so we have an accurate roll.

Our Inspection will be March 1, 2023, in MEM degree.  We currently do not have any candidates so, if you know of a Master Mason seeking even more light in Masonry, hand that Brother a petition!

In 2024, Mahoning Chapter #10 will be celebrating 200 years. Priest Tom Weller is organizing this joyous occasion and I hope everyone that can, will assist however they can.

Our next stated Conclave will be November 9th at 7:00 PM. Remember, this is a permanent time change for our regular Stated Meetings.
