Greetings Masonic Family and Friends!
Can you believe it is July already?! Seriously! Where did half a year go so soon?! Are you staying indoors and out of the heat? We hope so! We don’t want anything to happen to you because you would miss all of the fun! Want to know what we have been up to and what we are going to be doing this month? Well, let’s talk about the fun and exciting things we did this past month first…..
Let’s see….what happened in June….think….think… Oh yes! Grand Session! We did business as usual, but with a flare of excitement! Congratulations to Courtney W. who is the new Grand Bethel Guide, Lily G. who was appointed as Grand Bethel Senior Custodian, and our very own Charlotte G. who was awarded the most prestigious Lily of the Valley Award! Wow! So proud of all of these girls! But wait! There’s more! Our adults seemed to take their inspiration from our Daughters and our very own Bethel Guardian, Renee Wilcox, was voted in as Grand Marshal! Don’t forget our other aspiring adults that continue their service for these girls like Angela Maselli, who was elected as Grand Guide and Perry Billman who was installed as Associate Guardian to the Grand Bethel. May all of you have safe travels this coming year and thank you for continuing to represent Ohio Job’s Daughters!
Curious as to what we will be doing in July besides staying cool? Well, this Saturday, July 4 at 10:00 am our Bethel will be participating in the Newton Falls 4th of July parade with Newton Falls Masonic Lodge! Interested in riding on the parade float and or tossing out candy to the crowd? Please contact our Bethel Guardian for more information! Also, don’t forget our night out with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and our Masonic family, the Order of the Amaranth on Tuesday, July 14! $30.00 gets you a wristband for unlimited trips to the concession stand, seats on the third base line, and our name announced on the public speaker! AND, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation!
Just in case you aren’t familiar with us, Job’s Daughters’ mission is to create confident young women, respecting tradition, and shaping the future. Our members learn invaluable skills that increase their confidence and prepare them to lead. We teach girls to use their voice. We also have a Jobie-2-Be program for any girl age 7 to 9 or any other age that is interested in learning more about Job’s Daughters. For a full list of what we do each month, please contact our Bethel Guardian, Renee Wilcox, at (330) 240-2164, for more information or a petition!
Sincerely,
Daughters and Adults of Bethel #49
