Greetings Masonic Family and Friends!
Well…here we are again! Fall is upon us, which means it’s time for another season of change! Bethel #49 of Warren has switched gears from the hot summer months of promotions, fund raising, and community service projects to the calm, cool, and collected travel season of Official Visitations! May we be the first to invite you to come and enjoy some of the fruits of our labors (and we don’t just mean our annual fruit basket sale (see below!). Specifically, we are the first Official Visit of the season! See our happy list of activities for the month and plan on joining us for one of our many amazing events!
– Sunday, October 6: Our Official Visitation at 3:00 pm. Today is also the last day we will be accepting donations for Operation Christmas Child, so don’t forget to bring them in!
– Sunday, October 13: Service Project: Trash Clean-Up at Mosquito Lake State Park Causeway at 10:00 am
– Sunday, October 20: Stated Meeting and Job’s-Daughters-to-Be meeting at the Warren Masonic Temple. After the meeting we will be doing our monthly Temple cleaning to help make the building shine, so bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
– Sunday, October 27: Double Fun Event: City of Warren Halloween Parade. Line up at 1:00 pm with parade to start at 2:00 pm. Afterwards we will head to Kuchta Farms (4785 State Route 82, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444) to pick pumpkins!
Oh, by the way, just a reminder that right around the corner is Bethel #49’s biggest fundraiser! Fruit basket sales! Fruit baskets make excellent Christmas gifts for that hard-to-buy-for person and includes sizes small ($13.00), medium ($18.00), and large ($25.00). Each basket is filled with apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, grapefruit, and candy and will be made before Christmas. Be on the lookout for our annual letter and order forms in your mailbox in the coming months!
Just in case you aren’t familiar with us, Job’s Daughters’ mission is to create confident young women, respecting tradition, and shaping the future. Our members learn invaluable skills that increase their confidence and prepare them to become leaders in your community. For the month of October, we will be having our stated meeting on Sunday, October 20th at 3:00 pm. We welcome all Masons and members of any Masonic affiliated groups to attend our meetings! We also have a Jobie-2-Be program for any girl age 7 to 9 or any other age that is interested in learning more about Job’s Daughters. For a full list of what we do each month, please contact our Bethel Guardian, Carrie Guesman at (330) 219-0781, for more information or a petition!
Sincerely,
Daughters and Adults of Bethel #49
