The Chapter will be returning from Winter Recess at the stated meeting on Wednesday, March 15th.  In keeping with the Worthy Grand Matron’s request, Obligation Night will be observed.  In addition, the meeting will include honoring Past Matrons and Past Patrons, observance of the Chapter’s 101st Birthday and honoring of members with birthdays in January, February, and March.  Following the meeting, dessert lunch will be hosted by Linda Arens.

On February 1st Happy Birthday wishes were extended to our oldest member, Ila Cochran, who celebrated her 104th birthday.  Four Chapter officers (Mildred Beck, Carol Pinney, Margaret Best and Janet Baumann) visited her and presented her with her 65-year membership pin.  During the recess, get well and thinking of you good wishes were extended to Karrie Poling, Merry Beth Vargo, John Vargo and Karen English.  Sympathy was extended to Mildred Beck on the loss of her brother and currently sympathy to Karen English on the loss of her father.  Currently, Worthy Matron Merry Beth Vargo is suffering from pneumonia.  Congratulations were extended to Meghan (Best) Schmidbauer who was promoted by the Detroit Regional Chamber to Senior Director for Detroit Drives Degree.  Congratulations to Associate Patron Zachary Vargo who will be receiving his doctorate degree later this week in Charlotte, NC.
