Greetings Masonic Family and Friends!
“There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” (C.S. Lewis)

Well, hello there, welcome back, and happy New Year!  Have you all dug out after the snowpocalypse of Christmas?  Who would have thought we would actually have a white Christmas….several inches deep?!  While it may have been inconvenient for some, it sure was beautiful and a great reminder of what the Christmas season is really about, the birth of our Lord and Savior.  So, we hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and your coming new year will be filled with safe travels, good health, and wonderful memories.

The lovely ladies of Bethel #49 would once again like to express their sincere appreciation for everyone who helped with our annual fruit basket sales!  Whether you purchased a fruit basket, spread the word about the sale, or just made a donation, the girls really appreciated it!  A special giant THANK YOU goes out to Bob Cavender of Old Erie Lodge and our very own Norma Brink!  Bob and Norma were present when our fruit shipment came and assembled ALL of the fruit baskets before anyone else arrived!  This labor of love guaranteed that our lovely ladies would not have to congregate together or even be present and, therefore, kept them safe!  Because of these two individuals and their sacrifice, our annual fruit basket sale was once again a huge success!

Well, normally during this article we would be inviting you to our Semi-Annual Open Installation of Officers.  Unfortunately, as the Job’s Daughters are not meeting in person and haven’t met in person for a few months, our lovely ladies will remain in their current offices for another term. This doesn’t mean that we are closed for business.  Quite the opposite!  We are still accepting petitions for membership and, with your help, we can make that possible!  All Job’s Daughters requires is a young lady between the ages of 10 and 20 that is sponsored by a Mason.  Help us build your future by starting with the present and sponsor a young lady for membership!  It’s not too late to sign a petition!  Not quite sure she will like Job’s Daughters?  Not a problem!  We will soon enough be meeting in person again and resuming our monthly fun events where she can attend and meet the members and ask lots of questions!  We even have a Job’s Daughters-To-Be program (run by none other than Norma Brink herself) for just such a special young lady!  Don’t miss out on this great opportunity for your youth!

For those of you not familiar with Job’s Daughters, we are a positive faith-based organization for girls between the ages of 10 and 20 that provides leadership, builds self-confidence, and allows girls to make lifelong friendships.  For the month of January, we will be having our stated meetings on Sunday the 3rd and Sunday the 17th at 3:00 pm via ZOOM.  We welcome all Masons and members of any Masonic affiliated groups to attend our meetings!  We also have a Jobie-2-Be program for any girl age 7 to 9 or any other age that is interested in learning more about Job’s Daughters.  For a full list of what we do each month, please contact our Bethel Guardian, Angela Maselli (330) 612-3092, for more information or a petition!

Sincerely,
Daughters and Adults of Bethel #49
