ALL MEETINGS AND EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR MAY AND JUNE HAVE BEEN CANCELLED, INCLUDING THE REUNION, STATED MEETINGS, AND THE FEAST OF THE PASCHAL LAMB.
THE ANNUAL ELECTION AND INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS will take place on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2020. As you know doubt know by now this change was mandated by the Grand Master cancelling all Masonic meetings until May 10th due to the COVID19 infestation. Please plan on attending so that we can finish off this Masonic year with a bang. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM and there will not be a dinner. Members only please.
THE SPRING REUNION HAS BEEN MOVED TO: SEPTEMBER 25TH & 26TH. It’s time to get those petitions in. Again, this year a benefactor has made funds available so that any current or retired Police, Fire, or EMTs and any Active Military or Veteran can join the Valley for $50.00. This also includes sitting W.Masters and Past Masters. This reunion is named for Ill. George Roman III. Friday, September 25th the 4o, 14o, and 6o DVD will be conferred, and Saturday, September 26th the 17o DVD, 18o and 32o will be conferred. Friday starts at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 8:00 am. Breakfast will be served on Saturday morning at 8:00 am. All degrees will be held at the Warren Temple. Fees for degrees this year are $100.00. This year’s officers will be in charge of the reunion.
OHIO COUNCIL OF DELIBERATION scheduled for June 13th at the Akron Fairlawn Hilton and hosted by the Valley of Canton has been cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Canton Masonic Temple. Details will be disseminated to all members of OCD as soon as they are available. We do know that this will be a shortened day and is open to all Scottish Rite members. Honored there will be S.P. Michael J. Waldern who will be presented with his Meritorious Service Award cap and jewel during a ceremony that afternoon. While the top 3 officers of each body are expected to attend, all member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite are invited.
THE ANNUAL PICNIC will again be held this year on Thursday, July 23rd at Argus Park beginning at 6:30 pm. Be sure to bring a main dish or dessert to share and come ready to eat and enjoy each other’s company. Hopefully the cold and snow of this past winter will just be a very, very distant memory by then. While Scottish Rite is hosting this event please note that all former tenants of the Youngstown Masonic Temple are invited to attend.
