Autumn is here and with it, the Summer Term is coming to an end. As regular readers know, we are a very active Chapter and September was no different.  We had our Stated meetings on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, as scheduled.  It was the first opportunity for our new Brother, Zayne, to participate and he seemed to enjoy being involved as much as we enjoy having him in the Chapter.

We also had 2 fun events this past month.  On the 14th, we went to Cleveland to visit the USS Cod, which is a WW2 submarine on display on Lake Erie.  It was an amazing opportunity to be able to explore a very well-preserved vessel that is over 75 years old and still over 80% operational.

The following Saturday we went to Vienna Fish and Game Club to participate in The 4H Youth Sportsfest.  Members and advisers from Templar Chapter joined us on this event.  The young men learned about firearms safety and had all them shoot handguns, rifles, shotguns, black power (muzzle loader) and archery.  They all had a great time and discovered that they have some natural talent and learned that they can have fun while being safe.

Later this month we will be assisting Poland Masonic Lodge with their annual car show.

Next month, we are planning on a trip to the MAPS Museum in Canton to see military aircraft on display and in various states of restoration.  This is going to be great!

Also, next month, as the other masonic bodies start their installations for the term, we will be assisting, as requested.  We have already received a request to assist the 24th District Deputy Grand Master with his Installation Dinner.  I am expecting many requests from the area lodges to be coming in so reserve your date, quick!

We will be holding Chapter Elections at our next meeting and two weeks after that, October 27th, will be our Inspection and Installation of Officers.  Rumor has it that there might be a first-time Master Counselor going to the East this term.  We’ll have to wait until election results are final, though.

The Order of DeMolay is open to young men from 12 to 21 that are of good moral character and all of our events are open to parents, grandparents, Senior DeMolay and Master Masons in good standing.  If you know a young man that would benefit from being a member in such an organization, contact one of young men or any Advisor for more information.
Fraternally, Warren Chapter, Order of DeMolay
